The “My Safe Road” initiative is MKJR’s flagship data-driven program tackling high road fatality rates at the district level. Recognizing that local conditions require tailored solutions, this initiative empowers communities to identify specific road safety challenges from dangerous intersections (‘blackspots’) to areas with high motorcycle traffic and implement high-impact interventions.

Using accident data to identify and implement engineering solutions at high-risk locations (dangerous roads, intersections).
Infrastructure Upgrades
Advocating for and supporting improvements like better road lighting, clearer signage, traffic-calming measures (speed bumps, roundabouts), and safer intersection designs.
Enhanced Enforcement Support
Partnering with local police (PDRM) to improve compliance with key traffic laws, such as speed limits and helmet usage, in target areas.
Localised Awareness Campaigns
Developing and delivering safety messages tailored to specific local risks and road user groups within the district.
